DevOps Engineer

Position overview

DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying cloud systems to support internal and external scientists. The DevOps Engineer will work with stakeholders to establish security and functional requirements. This position is onsite at our Ann Arbor office.

Specific responsibilities

• Devops Engineer will work with internal and external stakeholders to deploy cloud solutions
• Manage cloud infrastructure per industry best practices using Infrastructure as Code methodologies
• Implement and Manage CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions to build and deploy software systems
• Perform End-User support as needed

Qualifications

• BS or master's in engineering, computer science or another related field preferred, but additional years of experience will be considered in leu of the degree
• Experience in an IT-related role
• Working knowledge of the linux (preferably Ubuntu) operating system
• Working knowledge of AWS or other public cloud providers. AWS Certifications are a plus
• Active Directory/Microsoft experience is a plus
• Experience using Github Actions is a huge plus
• Strong ability to create infrastructure and data flow diagrams and explain decisions to stakeholders
• Willingness to learn and passion about technology
