Business Manager

Position overview

The Business Manager will work closely with the A2-Ai business operations and leadership teams. The primary objective of this role is to streamline ongoing business relationships by drafting, maintaining, and tracking contracts throughout their lifecycle as well as optimizing tracking and organizational workflows. Additionally, the business manager will support and lead initiatives relating to marketing, presentations, pricing strategy, standardization, and client relations. This position is encouraged for entry- and mid-level applicants who seek to develop skills in procurement, business, and operations management.

Specific responsibilities

• Both independently and collaboratively draft, review, and support negotiations for a broad range of contracts including master service agreements, consulting agreements, NDAs, vendor and supplier contracts, SaaS/software agreements, contractor agreements, and statements of work (SOWs)
• Optimize workflows and assess business productivity, both functionally and operationally
• Serve as a supportive strategic thought partner to senior functional leaders (Director and Vice President level), providing insights and driving aligned decision-making in support of organizational goals
• Lead short and long-term business planning efforts, including annual planning cycles, resource allocation, forecasting, and functional goal setting
• Support internal contract review and approval processes, including collaboration across multiple organizational functions
• Conduct business development for new and existing clients in pharmaceutical drug development
• Manage continuous improvement of contract templates and contract lifecycle processes
• Coordinate conference logistics, discussions, and booth operations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 2-4 years of experience working in an administrative role
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
