An R package for submitting, monitoring, and cancelling NONMEM jobs on a Slurm cluster, using customizable job templates and optional notifications when finished.
Overview
slurmtools brings Slurm job management into R for teams running NONMEM with bbr. Jobs are submitted from customizable templates that fill in the details for each model and run, and recent jobs come back as a table in R, and jobs can be cancelled without leaving the session. An optional template sends a notification through notify.sh when a run finishes, so long runs don’t need to be watched. For teams ready to move beyond bbr, hyperion is a modern replacement. It submits NONMEM models to Slurm or SGE directly from R, with the traceability and model lineage features provided by pharos.
