R package · Package management
An R package that uses uv to manage project-local Python dependencies and virtual environments, with dependency declarations and a lock file that keep the environment reproducible.
R projects sometimes need Python tools as part of their workflow. Setting up those dependencies separately makes it harder to keep the environment consistent between collaborators and over time. pyro manages that setup from R using uv, a project-local pyproject.toml, and a virtual environment pinned by uv.lock. pyro provides the shared Python environment setup used by reportifyr and presentifyr, and can also be used directly in other R projects. It can install uv when needed, register dependency groups, check dependency declarations, and lock and synchronize the environment. It also provides helpers for locating the environment and running Python scripts from R.
