Overview
Teams distributing R packages through their own repositories need the right directory structure, package builds, and indexes for R to discover and install them. pkgpub provides functions to create CRAN-like repository directories, build package tarballs, and insert source or binary packages into the repository. When a package is inserted, pkgpub updates the repository's package indexes and can archive older builds. It handles the repository layout for supported binary types as well as source packages, providing a repeatable publishing workflow from R.
