A CLI and web app that improves collaboration, standardization, and traceability of the QC process via GitHub

Overview

Quality control is a conversation. A reviewer checks an author’s work and raises findings; the author makes the changes, and the process iterates until the work is approved. When that conversation happens over email and spreadsheets, it’s nearly impossible to show later exactly which version was reviewed, what changed, and who signed off. ghqc moves the whole conversation into GitHub, next to where the code already lives. Each file under QC becomes a GitHub Issue, grouped into milestones and paired with a checklist from your team’s shared configuration. Every step is tied to a specific commit. Reviewers post findings, authors respond with the changes made between commits, and approval pins the exact version that passed. If a file changes after the approval, ghqc flags it. A status board shows where every file stands, from awaiting review to approved. Once a milestone is complete, ghqc can export the full review history into a PDF record and/or bundle the files into an archive for storage or delivery. It runs as a command-line tool or a browser-based app, and launches straight from R.
